About me

Hello! I’m Seta Zakian, a lettering artist, illustrator, and surface designer based in Athens, Greece. 

I create digital artwork with a love for color and vintage style, designed to brighten your day. 

My creative journey began as a graphic designer—studying in Athens and at the London College of Communication—followed by a few years as an art director in advertising, working on print and packaging, before I launched my own studio. 

Eventually, my passion for letters took over and my work shifted naturally towards lettering and illustration. Since then, all things letters—Greek or English, old or new, bold or condensed—bring me joy, and I’ve developed a signature mix of vibrant lettering, colorful textured illustrations, and retro-inspired patterns. 

Along the way, I had the honor of serving on the judging panel for the Greek Design and Illustration Awards, as well as on the jury for the Branding & Design category of the Greek Advertising Awards. I’ve also contributed design-related articles to Inside Story, a digital media outlet.

These days, I focus on art licensing: creating lettering illustrations and repeat patterns in the form of collections, for products ranging from paper goods to home decor, from tableware to tech accessories. 

When not working on creative projects, you’ll probably find me traveling and seeking inspiration in new places, taking photos, browsing through bookshops and exhibitions, or enjoying a cup of coffee with cake.
